i was obsessed with lego games as a kid but i didn't know that existed

i just saw a few seconds of gameplay and it activated an ancient memory in my brain

I played most of the lego games on the ps2 and the wii, but I mostly remember the ps2 ones and especially Lego Star Wars. I played it with my brother a lot. I had some of the DS ones too but I don't think I played them as much. I rember they were like the home console ones but different.

I also had Legoland for pc which was something like rollercoaster tycoon, and i vaguely remember some pc game where you direct lego movies or something.

i remember playing rct on windows 98 and not really understanding how it worked but it was still fun to make silly rollercoasters
maybe i will try open rct or something

also i think a friend of mine used to play some sort of lego mmo but i don't remember anything about it

there was also this browser mmo to promote lego star wars 3 that wasn't really much of an mmo. you just tried to unlock all the characters and could see other people.
i think my dad found those for us when we got stuck in the games. he put a filter on the computer so we could only go on certain flash game sites unsupervised
i don't think he canonically wanted either of those

i wasn't alive in 1998 sorry
it was an old pc my dad kept in a big filing cabinet type thing
we used to play worms and rct and stuff
most of his games were on floppy disks

i remember not being able to build roads properly but i liked the music and the sprites
