Basically I thought they were a modestly but wealthy family. This is what I gathered somewhat from experience but in retrospect it seems pretty schizo to the general population probably but I did know someone who really believed in light, and a few other people who went along with it so that’s more then one person. Basically I thought the older one who was heihachi believed quite strongly in light and stuff, it was his residing belief more then anything, but also he had sort of Victorian sentiments, but still in an American way. He was kind of a budding scientist and was very intelligent too, he had all these theories and read many books. He was mostly a pacifist. Something happened to the other one when they were very young, like a small child, that fatally wounded them and they almost died. Basically, since that accident that occurred, they were never the same afterwards. The older one thought that after the accident had happened that there emerged this certain darkness about the younger one, and since he believed very strongly in things like that, he held it against him very strongly. The older one had all these strong and firm idealistic notions and beliefs, but also very strong values, and they basically held them all against the younger one. They were too ‘fiery’ and impulsive amongst other reasons. They did not cherish tradition and refused to learn from the older one his perceived wisdom.

Since then, the older one started to act exceedingly rough with the younger one and he would even beat him, and he started to teach him how to fight, though only the basics. The younger one assumed simply that, he was a racist partially which is why he thought so badly of him, because he was part Asian. Back then, in whatever time it was like the 50s, this was pretty controversial to be of mixed heritage like that.
