But if you have diffuse thinning you MIGHT still have a chance because it means that something else could be causing it, just hope it's not DUPA (untreatable, no record of recovery because it's likely autoimune), or diffuse alopecia areata (hard as well).

if you are diffusely thinning but notice there aren't any miniaturized hairs, you could have TE and that is the best possible scenario because that means it's very easily recoverable. TE can happen from nutritional deficiences, meds or stress.
