Abraham lived ~2000 BC, when the world worshiped many gods (Sumer, Egypt) and civilization was just discovering writing, math, and basic science.
In the middle of the world’s first civilization, God revealed Himself to one man — Abraham — and gave him a shocking promise:
"Through you, all nations of the earth will be blessed." (Genesis 12:3)
Over the next 2000 years, the unimaginable happened:
Abraham’s descendants became Israel.
Moses delivered the Law.
Prophets predicted a future Messiah in incredible detail.
Powerful empires — Egypt, Babylon, Persia, Greece, Rome — rose and collapsed.
Then Jesus was born — exactly fulfilling 300+ ancient prophecies, including:
Born in Bethlehem (Micah 5:2),
Born of a virgin (Isaiah 7:14),
Betrayed for 30 silver coins (Zechariah 11:12),
Crucified (Psalm 22, centuries before crucifixion existed).
Against all odds, a few fishermen and outcasts spread Jesus' message across the Roman Empire — while being hunted and killed.
Rome, the most powerful empire in history, fell to a faith started by a humble man in Mesopotamia.
Today, 4000 years later, Abraham’s faith is the root of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam — impacting billions.
Meanwhile, the gods of Egypt, Babylon, Greece, and Rome are dead and forgotten.
No other ancient religion ever prophesied the future so precisely.
No other civilization survived like Abraham’s promise.
No other figure from the ancient world still shapes the earth today.
Technology advanced. Science exploded. Empires fell. Yet Abraham’s blessing still stands, exactly as foretold.
"The wisdom of the world is foolishness to God." (1 Corinthians 3:19)
