I don't know how it was in Europe, but virtually every show growing in the US was either a comedy or pseudo-punk 'fuck the system' type shows. I'm happy to say that comedy peaked at XRA and I could do without more of it. I don't think anything is going to top XRA, I only have fond memories of prime Adult Swim and some boomer humor type movies like Kung Pow.
