The future is also not knowable with certainty. I am now inclined towards the various Stoic philosophers and the Buddhists. I avoid violent thoughts and words, I do not believe in destroying human life. I also hope for universal reconcilliation in the afterlife, even if that is not possible in this world of limitations.
I also accept that its possible the soul is not eternal, and that I will cease to exist after death. This does not cause me vexation, I am at peace with this.
