How do I get faster at drawing? each sketch in pic related is a study that took me 4-5 hours, spread over several days, so it took me a few weeks to fill the page. I was procrastinating by wasting time in here and other places, but even when I tried to spend as much time as possible drawing it still would take me a lot to add even the most basic details.

Just draw more.
study construction, study gesture drawing, you'll get faster as you get more familiar with your process. it takes time. 5 years isnt long.
Also, try practicing with set time limitations for a drawing, try to finish a drawing in an hour or two hours, it helps you stay focused and conscious of how long youre taking.
Start with whatever time if comfortable, and work your way down. Think of it like a fun challenge and dont stress about it.
Thanks for the advise. I think I've been doing 30 min studies of simple illustrations to get better at observational drawing since I really suck at it.
I dont think you suck at it, it looks very good~ youre practically a copymachine. but the best way to study at least, in my experience is to look at drawings you like, analyze what you like about them, attempt to imitate what you like by applying those aspects to a new drawing (not copying the drawing itself). it helps you actually apply the things you like. That is what "observational drawing" means to me.

Thanks, I really need a new approach to drawing. Pic related is from April, and is from a few days ago. I haven't improved at all in months, and I've doing mostly figure drawing and copying. I need to practice drawing from imagination more.
