EPS growth projections for the S&P are already outrageously optimistic. Something like 50% growth over 3 years. That's obviously never going to happen if tariffs stay as is. P/E is dictated by projected earnings growth. If that growth is projected to slow down P/E will go down to. Dunno if it will be 18x exactly but somewhere around 20 probably assuming no severe recession.
