trying to apply technical analysis over a 45 year period in which the use of a metal has changed dramatically is the kind of brainrot I can get behind.

I have been saying the same thing.

In general I find attitude of "I'm not buying I'm selling because some arithmetic function is going high and I don't bother to think are there any factors other than mania for this especially in market with so low attention of general investors" idiotic AF.

CNL keeps gigapumpening

man I feel kind of lonely at the top. Wish some of you guys were also long with me.

I wanted to buy a few years ago anon, but it's in Colombia right? With Agnico invested the jurisdictional risk must be a lot lower than I realized at the time when I decided to just keep adding SGD. Nice job lone CNL Chad

Yes it's in Colombia. I also had concerns at first but those concerns faded away after I learned Aris Mining's Marmato mine is literally within two kilometers (like 10min slow jogging distance)

I know it sounds cliche but CNL is still incredibly cheap. There's already more gold at higher grades than what SGD has and they're not even close to done making new discoveries. By the time CNL gets taken out I'm guessing there will be 20-30 million ounces of gold proven by the drillbit there. I hope you'll get a dip to buy SGD chad

Also, Meteoric Resources still near its lows but continuing on with the recovery. I'm probably going to schedule another call with their Chairman soon to get some color on what the company is planning for the PFS and financing.

MASSIVE nips. Gross.

Thanks, maybe the SGD takeover will happen this year and I'll have dry powder to get in big

Is the rare earths thesis even solid? All I see is a lot of extra supply coming online so the world doesn't have to depend on China, but China aren't going to stop producing. Prices will only get weaker.

They're not even rare, it's lithium all over again.

China is not gonna supply rest of world bud.

They already do.

You still under impression globalism is the "current" thing. It will end as quickly as gas from Russia did. At least in it's past form.

Extra supply from where? All I see is prices below 50% of the whole cost curve. Half of the producers are producing REEs for a loss. It's a small market but that doesn't matter much when your mine is in the first cost quartile.

Russia hasn't stopped exporting gas.

silver is always the laggard. When it catches up it will overshoot. It will also come back down to its dungeon after the bull turns into bear.

When

Two more weeks.

So the shinies I boughted for $15/ should be sold at what top before I buy them back at $15/ again?

yes. Consult the silver chart to see how to trade it. It peaks, and then it crashes back down always. And chances are we'll get another opportunity to buy below $10 some time maybe next decade. Gold maintains value, silver swings

Didn't seem to happen until recently.....weird right?

Maybe by "consulting the chart" we were just waiting to "return to the mean" the entire time

maybe you should learn when the government allowed the silver exchange rate to float. Unless your thesis is a return to government-fixed gold and silver markets?

The big difference between silver and gold is that only one of them is a tier 1 reserve asset. The other will always be the oversupplied byproduct industrial metal which sometimes remembers its lustrous past. We will most likely see the GSR come down a lot, but the trend is clear. Gold will maintain its value. Silver will climax and then have the financial equivalent of post-nut clarity. As it should. I'll be trading that.

Government mandated natural rate? You know America wasn't the only place on earth that had the same exchange rate.

consensus among governments is not consensus among markets.

Here, I'll help. Read this
bullionbypost.co.uk/index/silver/silver-standard/

Here's the focal point of the article:

With the slide in value of the metal, silver coins around the world became token currencies linked to a gold standard; they were no longer worth their value in silver, but came to represent a value in gold.

The silver standard was demolished for good over a hundred years ago. Su-surely the markets have been wrong the past century r-r-right silverschizos?

Silver and gold are money. That's just the way it is. And we will return to the mean, where the government had it pegged, because that's its naturally occuring rate.
I'll read your revisionist mystery history tho, so I can critique it with a rothbardian warhead and leave a smoldering crater where it once stood. Looking forward to it.

Ahahahahahaha, now I understand that you work for Changs after all. Fińczyk-Chińczyk.

I don't know what's changed (other than the p.o.g.), but the new CEO suggested in November that the autoclave might not even be rebuilt (dependent on tradeoff scenarios derived from the engineering study). Today he wrote that the target for completion of the autoclave was December, 2027, without reference to a contingency. I would assume that work would take at least a year and require half up front. All said, it likely will cost 1.5X its MC. All the vulture lenders will be lining up.

March 20 (Reuters) - Former Newmont executive David Copley has been named to oversee the mining portfolio for the U.S. National Energy Dominance Council, two sources familiar with the appointment told Reuters.

In the new role, Copley will be the highest-ranking person in the federal government shaping mining policy, one of the sources said. Copley is a current board member of the Nevada Mining Association.

Trying to decipher the moonrunes from Zijin's new Annual Report but looking great at least on a YoY basis. EBITDA up over 30%, earnings per share up over 50%, dividend up over 50%, copper production up 6%, gold production up 8%. 2025e guided copper production should be 7% higher (1.15Mt) and gold production 16% higher (85t). 2028e production should be 1.5-1.6Mt for copper and 110-110t for gold, or at least 40% and 50% higher from 2024 production, respectively. They're also looking to increase silver, lead and zinc production by like 30% and tripling molybdenum production by, as well as starting lithium production and churning out 250-300kt of LCE annually by 2028.

Zijin is growing like no other major holy shit!

What surprises me is that there was even a fine, But i suppose the deep state british cultists worship their symbolism so 12 million for 12 billion of criminality makes sense.

as usual market manipulation is punished with a slap on the wrist. Just another day in the rich man's world. Remember, if you're $100k in debt it's your problem, if you're $1B in debt it's the bank's problem.

Sorry I don't know. I'd love to have a backpack drill sometimes but I don't do enough hardrock prospecting to make it pay.

if i cant find any SHAW pipe i might have to bite the bullet and order a chinese rig and switch to their style of drill stem. Its cheaper and you get longer rods but its far less quality material. On the other hand i ve seen exact copies of shaw drills on alibaba for half the price and i ve wondered if the wests just getting screwed by shaw buying machines from china and branding them their own.

i ve wondered if the wests just getting screwed by shaw buying machines from china and branding them their own.

I think you hit the nail on the head

a lot of stuff on alibaba and temu us just brand name stuff that workers or managers stole from factories to sell. Or maybe paid the very same factory to produce. Either way, the quality is often the same but you're not paying for the brand.

Trying to stockpile copper while halting production at smelters due to concentrate shortages could be interesting.

There are no shortages of lithium or cobalt.

There are no shortages of lithium or cobalt.

True that! But I think we here in the West may be underestimating the demand side of the equation quite a bit as well. Those $10k brand new BYDs are selling like hotpockets in Asia, or so I hear. Were it not for aggressive tariff policies the Chinks would probably flood the European and US markets with EVs too. They've been super fast at increasing production capacity over in Chinkland.

Another copper developer with a similar valuation but a lower grade and smaller project is Los Andes Copper, but I have no idea what's going on with that share price action. Looking at the ceo.ca chat it seems one of the major shareholders keeps dumping by either selling or shorting but they haven't filed SEDI sells since last year so what do I know. I follow that one, looking to maybe buy when the knife stops falling. Solgold's Casabel though, that's just a nobrainer since it's one of the largest copper and gold projects in the world. The only issue is of course the permitting, but I think it has a better likelihood to get the green light than what the market price implies.

Ecora have a royalty on Vizcachitas so I hope it gets built. Very low estimated costs once in production, water access already signed, 100% owned and surrounded by bigger fish that could potentially take them out.

Very concentrated ownership between Turnbrook (48% down from 57% in 2016 when they were raising at 0.30c with 0.45c warrants) and a couple of interconnected private equity firms.

I think surely it must get built by 2030 at the latest, if they get permits. It's a large copper project with acceptable capital intensity. Ecora is retarded for selling their cash flowing coal royalty btw.

Los Andes Copper

Nice deposit, looks like there's nothing in the pipeline coming, Probably why the share price is slowly dumping.

I don't think they've sold coal royalties, Kestrel is winding down in the next couple of years as their entitlement area is depleted. The big challenge for them has been making good use of that cashflow while it lasts and replacing it with producing assets. With West Musgrave construction halted and cobalt in the shitter just as Voisey's Bay ramps up they've disappointed but still a significant discount to NAV in their portfolio even if most of their development projects never come online. Report next week, hoping for a tidy dividend and share buyback announcement like last year.

The copper stream they acquired the other day seems decent, and I like Rainbow Rare Earths enough to put a few cheeky bids in at the bottom (none hit so far though). Nifty should restart pretty swiftly after Glencore got involved last year, and Captone's projects were advancing well last I heard.

Hot Chili also looks interesting here. It's a bit low grade and a bit smaller than Los Andes, but they've been sold down by the market and are going to post a PFS study any day now. Their project has a low capital intensity and strip ratio, and should be easy to permit I think. They also made a new satellite deposit discovery late last year which I think could boost the total resources above that 5Mt CuEq sweet spot that a lot of the peers have.

A lot of out of favor copper developers out there for sure. The market is chasing higher grade copper discoveries that are making sexy headlines right now, like ATX, or US names with the recent Trump executive order. But it seems the market has been fatigued by the boring phase of the Lassonde Curve in the developers. An oppotunity I intend to capitalize on.

Hot Chili

I've had my eyes on it for a while, waiting to snatch some bags.

The market is chasing higher grade copper discoveries that are making sexy headlines right now,

Yeah, people only seem to care about grade these days, but not the tonnage. Grade isn't everything.

it seems the market has been fatigued by the boring phase of the Lassonde Curve in the developers.

Love to see it.

What do you think of Libero Copper here? I noticed the nature reserve area was moved away from the project boundary so now it's just a large low grade copper-moly project in the Colombian rainforest, instead of a large low grade copper-moly project in a Colombian rainforest nature reserve. I like the CEO and it's about as cheap as it gets I think. Major permitting risk over there, and some geotechnical concerns as well, but it's got a nice skeleton for a mine with the current resource...

McEwen Mining also seems like it's getting into a buying territory. They also have a good copper project that they're developing. Hits that 5Mt CuEq sweet spot and seems comparable to Vizcachitas in capital intensity as well. They also produce gold from three mines albeit at high AISC. But that's more cash flow than what these other copper developers make for sure.

Any others you have on your radar?

Libero Copper

Looks like all the risk is practically priced in at this point, maybe it goes down a bit more but you're practically at bankruptcy levels here. IMO worth the risk for such a large project. Worse case scenario you lose a few bucks, in all other scenarios you get a x20.

Same thoughts here. Might drop a $k or two on that one soon. I'm scanning the market for other projects and companies, so far the copper shopping list for me in no particular order is the following:

more SOLG

Los Andes

McEwen

Hot Chili

Libero

I'm also interested in Arizona Sonoran, Solaris, Marimaca, Atex, Horizon Copper, NGEX, Erdene, Aldebaran and Alta. But I'll have to dive into each of those more before I can say whether I want to be a buyer at these prices. I think all of the above will probably be good picks in their own right but it's all a function of price and timing as well.

You have a good eye for these projects Fin anon, some of those you mentioned I'm invested in/or I've been closely following myself, and the ones I wasn't aware of are always great projects. I'll take a look at some of the companies you mentioned that I wasn't aware off after i finish my night shift at work.

No problem. For copper it's pretty easy to pick projects, just gotta go for scale and mind the capital intensity. A few others that I have to check myself still are Ivanhoe Electric, Faraday Copper and Trilogy Metals. All of which I have avoided looking at until now.

Western Copper & Gold with their Casino project is dogshit btw, big scale but prohibitively low grade which makes for terrible capital efficiency. Northern Dynasty's Pebble is amazing but no way in hell is it getting permitted.

the drill stem and core pipe from china is far less quality though compared to what shaw uses, but the motors and drives are identical. Shaw must be getting another business to make their stuff specialty.

Gary is bullish and bearish -impact?

Thoughts on Tudor Gold? It's been mentioned here a couple times. It's been slow dumping for quite a while not, not a bad deal imo.

for some reason I've kept neglecting to look at Tudor and Teuton. I'll get around to it after I finish playing through Legend of Grimrock.

Tudor has a fantastic wide scale gold property next door to Valley of the Kings and KSM in BCs Golden Triangle called Treaty Creek. Its massive and extends to depth, so much so that it may interfere with KSMs underground tunnel plans.
I have to refresh my memory on the grades they have been hitting over the last few years, its wide scale, bulk tonnage, with small extremely high grade zoning mixed in. Excellent potential for an open pit mine.

It's been getting hammered along with others who have no serious path to production. The longer it waits with its two ugly sisters in tow, the more it's going to dilute to keep paying the $1M cash related-party expenses annually, over and above the drilling and met work. Has the company not yet even committed to a PEA release date?
Also, if the legal issue with SEA goes to court regarding underground rights of way, Tudor's price will get humped.

$1M cash related-party expenses

$880k annualized
My bad

Sure, but there's so much material in the golden triangle and with the price of the underlying commodities increasing, the numbers on these projects look better and better. The majors must get involved at some point. There's just too much material, thus the economics make sense.

The majors must get involved at some point

So the plan is to wait for a major to take them out? Meanwhile they'll finance themselves with that base-shelf prospectus at lower and lower prices.

Legend of Grimrock.

Looks fun.

I mean for KSM I'd probably say that's the plan. Tudor and Teuton could work together to build a mine at Treaty Creek. Skeena pulled it off. It can be done and it will be done.

yeah was fun game. Classic dungeon-crawling experience. Though it was made in 2014 or something. I will definitely play the sequel as well.

it will be done.

I doubt that, this cycle.

Looking at it now, my first thoughts are that I think first off the whole Treaty Creek project should be consolidated under one wing. Right now Tudor has two free carried partners neither of which seem like serious companies. AMK is some kind of scam shitco, and Teuton proposes to be a prospect generator royalty company but lists two people in its BOD and no management, and hasn't updated its website and presentation since the early 2020s. Both of the above have a 20% free riding interest, respectively. I think ultimately the whole project should just be a part of Seabridge since there's also the access tunnel conundrum mixing things up. Seabridge taking over the project would be the best choice for all share registries imo.

Other than the above, I like the project. Goldstorm is one thing but it's clear there's at least two more similar large deposits along strike on the project area, although those have been mostly left undrilled (probably because Tudor has no funds to waste). The company faces the same issue as Seabridge in that there's no way it can build this kind of large-scale mine on its own without a major's pockets. The deposit has multiple stacked lenses that dip at a pretty annoying angle so it's likely there will be a relatively small open pit on top and then multiple different underground mining methods. That access tunnel idea that Seabridge has thought up could be utilized also to haul ore from Goldstorm, if the managers and directors of all parties involved would figure out that the best way forward for the projects (not their pockets) is consolidation.

Tudor seems to be working at a pretty glacial pace. They're "beginning work to de-risk and move towards PEA" this year, so at this pace it seems they might just have a feasibility study out by 2028 or something. They did very little in 2024. Seems like they're strapped for cash? Idk, SEA at least keeps derisking and investing into infra as best it can. Tudor seems stuck in mud.

now that I really think about it, might be safest to just steer clear of both SEA and TUD until they actually have solid backing. No way is either getting built anytime soon. TUD has its own issues, SEA is mega low grade. Both have legal, permitting and money concerns. Idk man. At least SEA has the NYSE market for liquidity and leverage I guess. I'm just getting less and less enthused about these companies the more I get into the weeds.

I mean I get your point. I don't see how they finance these projects without the junior sector turning around and majors getting involved. They're also cutting down on exploration because they can't really finance at these prices.

I'm fine with holding a small bag of both and see where they go from here. Maybe they manage to derisk the projects and eventually some financier gets involved.

The whole market is just sentiment driven at his point, if shitcos like gayhorse and poolagoon can x5 anything can.

Fucking cherry niggers.

that "nation" has like what, three dozen people?

It's absurd.

Chief Pu-ka-shi-ta said that he heard an old elder say that their Nation's boundary extends past the mine site. Case closed.

WAGMI ON MARCH 31ST

why won't these people just assimilate?
Why do we keep treating them like children?
Why do they still live in communes basically?

is this it? Rio Tinto finally making a bid?

coz you stole their clay?

This is coal anon. I have tried to get an invite from either a Polish or a Ukrainian coal company to work in one of their underground mines, but to no avail. No one replies to me.
Russia, however, due to Putin's decree last autumn, now allows citizens of "hostile, neoliberal countries" to have residence upon arrival in the Russian Federation and a work permit.
So should I go to Russia when my parents pass? At least Russia seems welcoming, unlike Europe.

I would not want to employ you either. Most burgers in this thread smell like Moskals.

What is a Moskal?
I have a nice scent: no body odor, occasionally some cologne. Mining is, however, sweaty work, and you end up smelling like coal dust and sweat after a shift, hence why miners take a shower at the mine portal site after a shift.

Big hit at NexGen's non-Arrow Rook 1 deposit. Don't like the management but glad I bought a handful of shares recently.

Every other news release this morning is "wE hAvE cRiTiCaL mEtAlS nOw."

You're just a dumb butthurt Pollack. You realize Poles have a knack for making the rest of the world despise them?

Thanks for confirming that m assumption about you being a Moskal was a flawless hit. As usual.

All this thread has is me plus Moskals and Changs.

haha we love cultural diversity :)

The silver squeezers are targeting PSLV to buy for March 31st. Banksters have been massively shorting the fuck out of it. For most of the last few years, daily short volume for PSLV has been well below 2 million shares and often below 1 million shares daily. At two different points this month, short sale volume surpassed 20 million shares in a single day. This morning, Robinhood removed the ability to buy PSLV. The cartel is afraid of the reddit ape-fags and watching them

I would never use Robinhood, checked my Fidelity account and tried to buy a share of PSLV and it made me jump though some hoops and basically say I'm extremely experienced and aggressive, kek. I've only been buying penny shitcos there for 5 years and they're suddenly worried about me buying PSLV
