The guy in the pickup was trying to overtake the lorry but ran out of road when he ran into the back of another lorry. He then tried to dive in in front but didn't make it and got jammed in between the two lorries. He should have firstly not tried his overtaking move at all, then after doing it anyway slowed down behind the lorry in front, and especially not tried to merge back in in front of the first lorry.

As he's driving a big pickup he's likely used to other drivers just getting out of his way when he's driving like an idiot but on this occasion he was not the biggest thing on the road and got minced himself instead.
