Anyone else tried boiling them? Its a southern thing so we don't have them in my area.

I tried them a few times, following the recipes to a T, washed the peanuts and everything. They basically taste like dirt with the texture of kidney beans. I loaded it up with the boil seasoning too.

I washed and boiled them with just salt and they taste like less flavorful peanuts with salt. This time I'm trying with a spicy cayenne pepper blend from the start.

Yes it takes a long time. Cajun spice and some vinegar helps.
