Very good video. Just watched the whole thing. Also, regarding manufacturing, if you look at the kinds of goods that would be required for a WW2 style mobilization, we just have no way of producing them anymore. Most of our existing military equipment was made around the 1980s and 1990s before our industrial base had seriously declined, and currently we're struggling with new defense acquisition programs because we no longer have the economies of scale required to cost effectively build a modern mechanized military. We wouldn't be able to replace any of our losses in a major global conflict, and we would run out of munitions after about the first week of fighting.
They would start it precisely because they know that we're vulnerable and they can get away with it.
The bigger problem they face is they need to kickstart their service economy to inflate their debt away.
But that's exactly how we ended up in this economically and geopolitically precarious situation. China would be very foolish to repeat our mistakes, and I don't think they will.
People like to meme about dying for Israel, which I think is true to an extent, but overthrowing the Iranian government would cut China off from their oil supplies and seriously cripple their ability to wage war.
I can see a bull trap forming, but we won't reach a true bottom until valuations return to their historical means.
